Parent and Baby Group

Becoming a parent can be busy and overwhelming as well as joyous and exciting. Little Wrens parent and baby group is here to provide a little haven to relax with other new parents. Parents with little ones from newborn to 2 years of age, as well as expectant parents, are welcome.

A lovely play space will be provided for the babies with natural, sensory and simple toys. We will spend time in each session quietly observing our babies’ play and exploration; an experience many parents don’t have the opportunity for at home. It gives you time to truely appreciate your child’s stage of development whilst providing your baby with your undivided attention.

Drinks, yummy snacks and conversation will be a key element of the group for parents. Whilst we sit talking together and being present with our babies, I will facilitate discussion and provide materials and guidance for small craft projects. Ultimately, the groups are for you, so I will be led by the needs of the unique group.

This is a lovely account from one parent who attended ‘A Gentle Beginning’, the parent and baby group in York run by Dorothy Marlen. Dorothy was one of the key tutors on the Holistic Baby and Child Care course I attended in 2018 and her group very much inspired Little Wrens.

In September 2019, the group will move to The Blue Idol, Coolham (near Billingshurst) from our original home at FairKind Child in Piries Place, Horsham. We are excited about the increased space and access to the garden!

The group runs on Mondays from 10am to 11.30am. The sessions are £7 each and are booked ahead by the half term. Once you have used the form below to book I will invoice you.

Our next two half terms run from: September 2nd to October 14th and November 4th to December 16th, both 7 weeks long.

Please complete the form below to book your space

Included: Tea and cake, fruit snack for little ones, craft materials, access to my library of pregnancy, birth and parenting books and a weekly space to relax with other parents.

Please let me know if you have any allergies or are vegan, so I can provide appropriate drinks and snacks.
What do you hope for from the group? Anything you’d like me to know? Any questions?
